Welcome to the Inside Blumenort Blog!
This is a new blog about the town of Blumenort, Manitoba.
I live in Blumenort and wanted to create a blog from my personal point to view… we will post town events, information regarding local restaurants, pictures, etc. To know more about this town, I will quote directly from Wikipedia
“Prior to about 1870, south-eastern Manitoba, including the Blumenort area, were hunting, fishing, and trapping grounds used by the nomadic Ojibway people. In 1871, the government began negotiating the articles of the Ojibway land claims for this region of Manitoba. After signing Treaty 1, the First Nations people of south-eastern Manitoba moved onto the Brokenhead and Rousseau River Reserves”
As I get more pictures of the town, I will post them on this site. I look forward to improving the site; so please check back for our most recent update(s).
