Lightning

I got another audiobook by Dean Koontz called Lightning.. it’s about a woman named Laura and a strange guardian that has appeared in her life; meanwhile strange forces malign against her.

I can’t wait to listen to his one; I’ve made a summary of the books from this author and I’ve decided that this will be the next one to listen too… I find it incredibly relaxing to listen to an audiobook while walking, exercising the mind and the body.

*Update – I’ve been enjoying it thus far, the book started off a little shaky for me, it didn’t grab me as quickly as the “Midnight” audiobook did. But it is still a good listen, not too give to much away but Willy Sheener is one of the villains of the book – I hate him, he is a stalker, hurts women physically, if it was up to me, I’d break every bone in his body, if a women tells you to stop, you stop – respect what she said, but this Willy jerk isn’t in love or wanting a relationship, he is just a predator.

*Its clear Laura has a special place in destiny but somehow its also in jeopardy, I feel a bond of sorts with her character, when she goes to the 2nd foster home, she is protective of her feelings, its sad that so many children have a volatile home life.

I’m curious as to the voices they use for the different books, it looks like older books were narrated by humans so I think that great.. I’ve had kind of had an A.I. overload – just because we can use A.I. to replace a lot of jobs doesn’t mean we should – there is a human touch, an element that a real human being has put effort into something – shouldn’t be replaced by some A.I. shitting out content without human agency or warmth.
