Sometimes in life you feel trapped, you find yourself in a situation that you can’t seem to get out of… or maybe there is something missing in your life. When driving alone in your vehicle, when your thoughts drift, we ask ourselves if this is all there is, is this all that life is going to give us, it’s not what we imagined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know what desperation feels like, don’t give up hope. Maybe you need to hear that things will get better, they will. There was a time in my life when I was just a kid, maybe 5 or 6 years old, and I was trapped in a situation I couldn’t escape from. That’s when you really feel alone, people can’t feel your pain, not really.. and sometimes they can’t help you, there are situations where all the external help in the world can’t fix what is broken. Its not just words on a page, I’ve been in that place. But I found that in the worst of it all, I wasn’t alone, there was a presence, there was a God – and he was with me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What I am sure of – is that we, by ourselves, have very limited control of our destiny. God is with us, in the picture there is a person who is on the muddy side of the fence, in that life, the person is stuck in a stronghold, a stronghold of sin. Have you ever met someone who has a vice or a sinful bend that they can never seem to shake? Or perhaps they have a person in their life that is an evil influence. I know something about strongholds, I’ve been in some of my own and other people’s making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus can break the strongholds in our life and give us our future back. In this image are bars of green soap, each one is a message of hope… some of them got sucked up by the mud or in other words; obscured. This is like the distractions of life, when we get caught up by the things of this world instead of cleaning ourselves. The person in the image found one of these messages of hope, and she needs to hold onto it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bible says we should clean the inside of the cup first, then the outside of the cup will be clean. It is also so with our souls; when we clean our lives and minds with God’s word and refuse to participate in further sin – we can leave that side of the fence completely… the other side of the fence represents a life free from the stronghold of sin that is holding us captive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the person who reads this and knows this post was written specifically for them, for things to change, we need to change; give your life wholly to Jesus, clean your life inside and out, and Jesus will give you a new beautiful future and the desire(s) of your heart. Keep God’s word in your heart, and never let go of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
