In regards to one of the previous posts about the Back Rooms movie, it was good.. I agreed with my daughter Kaylee that the ending could have been much better but the scary scenes in the movie were done really well.

We had an amazing trip out to Alaska… here is a short video of the glacier.

This was our 2nd cruise to Alaska, our first trip was on the New Holland line of ships – specifically the Koningsdam. This trip was with the Celebrity Solstice ship.

Here is a little bit of a rundown of my opinion of the 2 trips. If I went again or it was my first time, I would pick the Koningsdam, but I’ll give the reasons why.

There a lot of minutia of small reasons of pro’s and con’s for each ship. The biggest reasons why I would pick the Koningsdam is this – the New Holland line has an partially enclosed deck that allows you to walk round the entire ship at any time during your cruise – that alone is the sole reason I would pick this ship. Another reason is the New Holland line attracts a different type of clientle.

There was a couple of people on the Celebrity that I don’t have any use for… I’ve found that you won’t see those types of people on the Koningsdam, it is just a higher class of people, they are more put together and more mature. I’m no special person but once you’ve proven to me that you have a cold heart or a mean spirit, I can’t be a part of that.

Some people think that everybody needs to like them, I don’t need that, life is short, if you think of your life as a movie – how much screentime would you give to a mean spirited person? In the same way, I don’t give people like that any aspect in my life. They haven’t earned my respect or perhaps they’ve lost it – either way, I’ve got awesome things to do with my life and no one is ever going to hold me down, my thoughts are on the future and living the kind of life driven by a love for God.

Now that we are back from the trip, I’m going to Wasagaming National Park, specifically Clearlake, Manitoba. I love nature, the outdoors, and going for really long walks.. the biggest guilty pleasure I have is ice cream – my favorite soft ice cream is the twist cone, and for hard ice cream my favorite is Tiger, Tiger. When we stay in Clearlake, we like to stay at the Idylwylde Cabins. It’s a little pricey and it’s hard to get into the rotation rental but it’s totally worth it – I love it.

On the work front, there is some info I can’t disclose but I’ve worked on some great projects – things are really coming together…, I wish I could say what I did but for privacy reasons, there are some aspects of my job that I can’t discuss. What makes me happy is making life better for other people, or indirectly helping their physical or mental health. That’s part of the reason I have what is so close to hate for mean people, they have no idea that some people are hanging on to life by a thread, it could be a bad prognosis or maybe something in their life fell apart. I try so hard to be there for people in need, that I have zero use for anyone who does the opposite of that.

I have a music playlist on my YouTube Channel, it’s has Celtic Christian Heavy Metal songs… you get to worship God and rock it out at the same time. I believe God takes broken people and makes beautiful things out of them, there was a time my life was completely shattered, broken pieces everywhere and I so wanted to kill myself. But God put me back together and got my life back on track. Now, all these years later, the trajectory of my life is straight up – just like SpaceX. The reason for that is God, it sure as heck isn’t because of me.
