I thought I’d quickly post during my coffee break. On the way to work this morning I saw someone I recognized and was glad to see but I didn’t have a chance to wave back 👋 – I hope they know that I’m not being rude – I’m just slow to react sometimes.

Life is fragile – just this morning after I got to work – I had a friend of mine have an issue that I can’t talk but seeing them in a bad way, it just scared & reminded me that people leave our earthly realm every day and there is no do-overs.

So it’s time to talk about fun tech and maybe dangerous tech… 😲 I wanted to talk about an item I got off of Amazon – the R36Max handheld game console is great… I love it. I previously had bought the Miyoo Mini Plus (pictured below) and I just can’t put my finger on it but I don’t like the Miyoo device nearly as much as the R36Max. The R36 isn’t perfect but the combination of the screen, UI, the controls, it is just a very usable, enjoyable hand held. It gets 2 thumbs up from me! 😁

Finally I wanted to talk about the VIOLOOP AI device.. it is pictured below. This is a plug-in AI agent that reads your screen, reads your content, tries to anticipate your repetitive steps, and can automate tasks, be like a digital secretary, runs a full AI model locally on device, with local memory that never leaves the device. It has no API (exposed methods & functions), it also has an away mode – start a task, lock your screen, and the VIOLOOP can ping your phone when it’s done.

In theory, this device is a dream.. it would come with a monthly subscription, you tell it what you want and it just does it. It learns from watching you and since it works with your computer, it can access what your computer can access. On the other hand, if this device was somehow hacked, either at your home, or worse – somewhere in the supply chain (think state level intervention) – this device could ruin your life… any assistant – human or otherwise; with enough power could totally wipe your data, sell your data, or just run and collect data, it could be the greatest data collection device known to man. With that level of power, comes with the ability to abuse that power – no matter how noble the intent. I know the device hangs on the idea that nothing executes without you but what if someone gets access to your phone?

Don’t get me wrong, this looks to be an awesome device, so much potential, used properly it could really be a massive benefit to the person using it. I would love to get one so that I could check it out and do a review.
