(almost) Time To Chill
At the end of this coming week – so it’s almost time to chill π, I’m going to a cabin at Hillside Beach. Although I can easily say that I have the best job I’ve ever had and get a lot of time off – I have grown into the type of person that gives everything they have with every task set before me.
I’m not saying I’m “all that & a bag of chips”… lol π, but I figure we all have a limited amount of time on this earth – that is a fact, and since we are doing this thing (whatever it is), we might as well try to kick ass. So at my work, I apply the same amount of effort. I don’t like walking away from a problem until its solved, which means that sometimes I’m half dead by the time I’ve finally resolved an issue. What I’m getting at is – even with this awesome job, I still need a break from being the best helper I can be to the people I serve.
They say “work hard, play hard” and I totally agree with that motto. I don’t party like I used to – I haven’t had a alcoholic drink in 25 years but I have a way better time than I ever had back then. I have a YouTube channel that keeps me busy.. check out my latest song Jesus Lives Again. I wrote the lyrics and described the vocals and song beat & style to Suno AI. I really love the cover of the song – it’s Jesus escaping the grave, and death itself lying dead – defeated by Jesus on the Cross. I’ve always liked heavy metal but not too heavy, it needs to be balanced out – with a softer side – strength and weakness.. the Lion and the Lamb. I’ve also always like Megadeth album covers (specifically the artwork). But I wanted the art to “switch sides” – to reflect the destruction of evil. You get the same dark gritty vibe but now it is focused on restoration. Here is the cover of the song I wrote..

I also have a E-scooter and plan on scooting around Hillside, when it gets dark I have a book from Dean Koontz “What the night knows”… it sounds really interesting and I can’t wait to read it. * I appreciate the irony of going inside when itβs dark to read βwhat the night knowsββ¦ lol π.ππ
I also plan on making breakfast out at the cabin, I have a Blackstone griddle and its perfect for making breakfast – I can make a full breakfast, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, toast, everything in only a few minutes; I couldn’t believe how fast I could pump out breakfast for like 10+ people just like that. We go with multiple couples and we all pull our own weight, mine is cutting firewood with an axe (my favorite thing to do), making breakfast and BBQ, and loading the dishwasher and doing sweeping.
When it comes to watching movies on the go – I bought a little throw projector on Amazon – it’s a small little white deal.. you have to know how to use these things, what I mean by that is the UI isn’t very good, and it has limited processing power, but couple it with a small Android box and Bluetooth speakers and suddenly you have the perfect mobile projector for a cabin getaway.
So even at the cabin, we’re still busy but I don’t need to be a type of brain trust for anyone, God gave me certain types of abilities and I do everything I can with them to help other people but everyone needs time to rest, time to offload, decompress – and this is mine. I’m very grateful to what God has done for me. He is an awesome and mighty God and deserves all the Glory we can give him.
