Celebrity Solstice – Alaskan Cruise 2026

We are hopefully going on another cruise again this year at the end of May if things work out.. *sailing date will be May 31, we have people staying at our house during our absence.

Last year we took a cruise on the Holland American ship the Koningsdam, and that was a magnificent time, fantastic.

On this cruise we will get a balcony on a better sized stateroom. I’m really looking forward to it.. I’m not saying I deserve it in anyway, I work really hard at my job but at a personal level, no – I don’t deserve it.

God has opened doors for me, how long they will stay open, I don’t know, and it really doesn’t matter. The world tells us that we “deserve to do whatever we want”, but that isn’t true, I will humble myself and will accept anything the Lord provides to me. I can’t stand arrogant or condescending people, I usually find that they are the least capable, legends only in their own mind so to speak but even if they are capable – the Lord can take that all away in one thought – and there is nothing you could do about that – not one thing, so who’s power is it? Does it belong to you, or the Lord?

I say that I’m not worthy of consideration, I am nothing if the Lord doesn’t supply me with strength and wisdom… I deserve Hell, that is the best that I deserve.. I want to serve the Lord, and keep sin away from me.

I’ve been reading my bible, more and more… right now I’m in the book of Numbers (Chapter 9), and I love what I am reading, at this point the Israelites are doing everything God asks of them, following the way(s) he tells them to proceed.

When the cloud, the spirit of God ascends, they move camp, when it descends, they setup camp, when its time for an offering or a celebration, they do it exactly as prescribed by God.. doesn’t that sound wonderful? Some people would say that is too restrictive or too much, but on the flipside, imagine God giving you directives (He is literally in the camp) and you live in accordance with them, as he says – in complete harmony and obedience. We have to worship or follow God on his terms, not on our terms.

Sorry I digress.. If you ever get the chance to go on an inside passage cruise of Alaska, take it… the view is magnificent, it is a decidedly adult crowd – my party years are way behind me, and acting like a raving jacka55 does not appeal to me, I find the people on these cruises are more mature, higher class of clientele. I don’t mean that I’m a fancy boy… lol.. 😊, but rather there is no graffiti, no yelling or crazy drama, everybody wants to enjoy themselves, read, lie down, relax, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery – its just like minded individuals enjoying what God has given us – aka.. nature. There is also gambling, etc., but I’m not really into the scene per se.

Have a great day…

Jason
