New Audiobook
I downloaded a new audiobook last month and just can’t get into it. Some books grab you quickly right in the beginning.
The last one I got is a dud, I’m not even going to review it or anything, it would be torturous to listen to a story you just can’t get into.
Now I’ve purchased “Dark Rivers of the Heart” by Dean Koontz. I listened to about 5 minutes of it and I know it’s gonna be a winner.
The main character is my kind of man, he is a rough and tough dude that has a soft spot for his dog. I think a man should be capable of extreme violence and no mercy in the right situation but when it comes to elders, women, children and animals – he should be gentle.
I do have other hobbies beyond audiobooks, I also enjoy throwing knifes in summer, I also practice picking a variety of locks, including house locks, cars, lock boxes, alarmed doors, alarm system(s).
I think it’s good to have technical skills (white hat hacking) coupled with real world physical skills. Spinning up remote servers that are quick provisioned to host my own personal AI is awesome.
But all that means nothing (to me at least) unless we use those gifts to help others and serve God with our gifts. The bible says we can do all things through Jesus Christ!!! The smallest thing we do for God, is greater than the biggest accomplishment we can do for ourselves.
Have a great week!
