Some time in life you feel trapped, you find yourself in a situation that you can’t seem to get out of.

I know what desperation feels like, don’t give up hope. Maybe you need to hear that things will get better, they will.

What I am sure of is that we by ourselves have very limited control of our destiny. God is with us, in the picture there is a person who is on the muddy side of the fence, in that life, the person is stuck in a stronghold, a stronghold of sin. Have you ever met someone who has a vice or a sinful bend that they can never seem to shake? Or perhaps they have a person in their life that is an evil influence. I know something about strongholds, I’ve been in some of my own and other people’s making.

Jesus can break the strongholds in our life and give us our future back. In this image are bars of green soap, each one is a message of hope… some of them get sucked up by the mud. This is like the distractions of life, when we get caught up by the things of this world instead of cleaning ourselves. The person in the image has found one of these messages of hope, and she needs to hold onto it.

The bible says we should clean the inside of the cup first, then the outside of the cup will be clean. It is also so with our souls; when we clean our lives and minds with God’s word and refuse to participate in further sin – we can leave that side of the fence completely… the other side of the fence represents a life free from the stronghold of sin that is holding us captive.

For the person who reads this and knows this post was written specifically for them, for things to change, we need to change with them; give your life wholly to Jesus, clean your life inside and out, and Jesus will give you a new beautiful future and the desire(s) of your heart. Keep God’s word in your heart, and never let go of it.
